As our portfolio continues to grow, so does our Integrated Operations Network! Mark-Taylor is hiring a Property Financial Operations Administrator to support our onsite teams.
As a Property Financial Operations Administrator, you will work a hybrid schedule out of our Corporate office located in McCormick Ranch neighborhood of Scottsdale, AZ. You will assist Community Managers and Accounting in effectively managing the books and records of the community. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the financial integrity and success of our communities.
You're Excited About This Role Because You Will:
- Support the Manager of Property Financial Operations in overseeing the Mark-Taylor ION property financial operations team in collaboration with on-site teams.
- Conduct routine administrative tasks for stabilized and lease-up communities.
- Provide assistance with lease-up processes and ensure a smooth transition to community stabilization.
- Work with the Manager of Property Financial Operations and Director of ION to develop and implement standard operating procedures and financial operations policies for on-site teams.
- Assist with community-specific financial operations, including daily bank deposits, record collection, rent payment processing, move-ins, move-outs, cancellations, and monthly financial preparation.
- Provide support in processing and auditing ledgers, as well as preparing legal notices for non-payment of rent or non-compliance.
- Audit and review deposit agreements, lease agreements, and renewal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform continuous audits of accounting month-end close activities for assigned properties in coordination with the Manager of Community Operations and Accounting.
- Assist in preparing resident move-outs and final account statements for assigned communities.
- Conduct research on resident ledgers and financial reporting as required.
- Support the preparation of accounting and operational reports as needed.
- Deliver exceptional service excellence by ensuring interactions are courteous, informed, accessible, and professional.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
We're Excited to Meet You! Ideally, You Will Bring:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in on-site operations, including financial management, reporting, and/or financial operations within the multifamily or a related industry, is required.
- Strong understanding of financial operations, including rent collection, bank deposits, and account reconciliation.
- Familiarity with lease agreements, legal notices, and property management workflows.
- Proficient in reviewing and auditing financial documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Knowledge of lease-up processes and community stabilization strategies is preferred.
- Proficiency in property management software and accounting systems is required.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to compile and analyze financial reports.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and perform additional duties as assigned.
